BMS Course to Boost your Career – Know about Its Course Structure and Eligibility Criteria

ASM - IMCOST’s three years full time BMS course is ideal for those who are seeking a promising career in the exciting field of management. Faculty at ASM-IMCOST has designed the course curriculum in a way that would provide in-depth knowledge on contemporary business management concepts and theories. The blog will be extremely useful for aspiring students who would like to know about the course structure and eligibility criteria of the BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) program at ASM.

An Overview of the Course Structure



Read on to know about the subjects covered during your three years stay at ASM-IMCOST.
  • First Semester - You will study the concepts pertaining to Foundation of Human Skills, Financial Accounts, Business Law, Business Statistics, Business Communication, Principles of Management – I, Introduction to Computers in the first semester.

  • Second Semester – You will be proficient in Business Environment, Computer Application in Business, Managerial Economics, Business Mathematics, Industrial Law, Cost Accounting, and Environmental Management upon the completion of the second semester.

  • Third Semester – Third semester in the second year of the BMS course would provide you understand the concepts related to Management Accounting, Managerial Economics-II, Marketing Management, Materials Management, Principles of Management-II, and Effective Communication.

  • Fourth Semester – Faculty at BMS department of ASM-IMCOST provides you in-depth insights on subjects like Productivity & Quality Management, Elements of Direct & Indirect Taxes, Export-Import Procedures & Documentation, Management of Small Scale Industries, International Marketing-I, and Public Relations Management in the fourth semester.

  • Fifth Semester – You would gain a detailed idea pertaining to Human Resource Management, Service sector Management, Financial Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility in the second last semester of the course. You would be required to do a project work also in this semester.

  • Sixth Semester – Subjects such as Entrepreneurship and Management of Small and Medium Enterprise, Operations Research, International Finance, Indian Management Thought and Practices, International Marketing, Retail Management etc are taught in the last semester.
Are You Eligible for the Course?

Eligibility is granted to those who have passed 12th STD / HSC exams from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Education. Also, a diploma holder in any engineering branch with two or three years duration after SSC can apply for BMS course in ASM-IMCOST. Candidates from Arts, Commerce, Science & Diploma streams with minimum 45% aggregate (40% in the case of reserved category) are eligible for the course.
